Add alliance status updates

Provide a clear, concise update to your team about the alliance's current status and next steps.

Overview

Plan availability: Advanced (available with Alliance Management)
Required user role: Manager (as a Manager, you can perform the following actions on all public alliances, whether you own them or not)

The Status update section is located at the top of the alliance Overview tab.

Add a status update

Click Add.

Enter the updates and the next steps, select a value in the Alliance state field, and click Confirm.

Enter new updates

To enter new updates and replace the old ones, click Add new. The previous Updates, Next steps and Alliance state will be automatically displayed in the activity stream for the record (you need to select the Status and next steps option for that). 

See the update history

Click the clock icon in the Status update section of the Overview tab. The numbered chip indicates the number of updates previously entered. 

A side panel will open with the list of all past updates. You can browse the list using the search bar.

Edit or delete updates

To edit or delete the current update, click the Edit button or trash icon. If you delete the current update, the latest update before this one will appear again.

To edit or delete past updates, open the history and click the Edit or Delete buttons next to the relevant update.

Edit or delete the current status update

You can edit or delete the current status update by clicking the more options button and selecting Edit or Delete this update. If you delete the current update, the latest update before this one will appear again.

Display the current status update in the alliance hub

You can display the Updates, Next steps, and Alliance state fields as columns in the alliance hub to quickly review this information for each alliance.

Click the gear icon to open the Column settings tab.

Using the search bar, toggle on the Updates, Next steps, and Alliance state columns, and position them where best suits you using drag and drop.

Export the current status update

The export function is currently not completely operational and is being improved.

Add the Updates, Next steps, and Alliance state fields in the columns of the alliance hub and click the Export button.

Select the kind of export you want to perform. See Export alliances.

View the status updates history

The history of the alliance Updates, Next steps, and Alliance state fields can be found in the alliance's activity stream, when filtering by Status and Next steps.
